I removed the test user and added another one a few times and on some tests it crashed before creating a new library. I tried this in a blank, new, admin account with no libraries available and it happened with the default "Untitled" library. I cannot recall any crashes in the first week or so after updating. I just updated the computer from El Capitan to be able to run same version of Motion on my computers. I have been waiting for High Sierra to mature a bit more, maybe worth the test. I have ran out of ideas and I am afraid erasing and reinstalling is the next step, however I have a lot of Applications that would need to be reinstalled and relicensed so this would take a long time.ĭoes anyone have any suggestion on things to try before erasing and reinstalling?ĮDIT: Found an old plugin from an old version of CamTwist that I hadn't updated and removed it. I used to have mInstaller installed but I have removed it in case it caused it after the upgrade to 10.4. Other things tried is verifying the disk and also removed all system wide third party audio plugins since I have a few just to remove the as a potential cause. I have run the Final Cut Remover to uninstall both Final Cut and Motion and then reinstalling them form App Store and I have also reinstalled the OS (just a reinstall without erasing first).
